The Video Source Provider (VSP)
is a mobile computer system with a high resolution
camera. This portable setup utilizes a wireless link to
the UpLink Station (ULS) nearby. With a roaming range
of up to 6 miles from the ULS, the mobile VSP has
virtually unlimited and un-tethered access throughout a
job site.
The UpLink Station (ULS) located onsite or nearby, is
connected physically to the internet using an available
transport (Dialup, DSL, T1, etc..). As the ULS receives
the wireless signal from the mobile VSP, data is
transmitted out to an Internet Service Provider (ISP)
for viewing remotely by clients. At the same time all
video footage is recorded and archived for later review.
A Client Workstation can be
any computer connected to the internet using a standard
browser such as Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer
5.5 or later. There may be multiple participants from
multiple locations on the internet. |
